Get to know us

My experience working for the NHS for 25+years gave me an insight of the poor quality of care being given in my community. I opened Cherry Blossom Community Care in 2019 wanting to make a difference and restore the faith in the caring sector. I understand how important it is for every vulnerable adult living in their own home to receive good quality of care and that's exactly what I want to deliver. We offer support to all service users so they can remain independent in their own home such as assisting with every day tasks or rehabilitation to help them get back on their feet. We set up a unique care plan tailored to the needs of each individual and set goals to encourage independence.

" Sometimes it only takes one act of kindness and caring to change a persons life "

Our mission

To deliver and provide safe, effective, responsive, caring, well-lead person-centered care to people aged from 18+. To encourage independence and support each individual care package to enable vulnerable adults to live in their own home. Ensuring the service is delivered flexibly, attentively and in a non-discriminatory fashion while respecting each individuals right to independence, dignity, privacy and the rights to make choices. To ensure each individual needs and values are respected in matters of religion, race, culture and ethnic origin, sexuality and sexual orientation, political affiliation, disabilities and impairments. To involve service users and carers in the provision, management and development services, which will be monitored regularly as part of the quality framework ensuring that the service is run in the best interests of our service users. To reenable service users to maintain social integration within the local community to avoid social isolation and improve the service user's serge of health and well-being.

We are a friendly, safe, warm and committed service who's code is to empower individuals with independence, choice, rights and inclusion.

How do we know our staff are competent?

Competency Checks

All our staff receive competency training, once staff have completed the induction course they are accompanied by a senior member of the team on their first visits, new staff will shadow the senior member and only once they feel confident and the competency has been approved then they will see service users on their own. If further training is required staff will complete or repeat training.

SPOT Checks

To ensure our service users continue to receive high quality care and support we complete monthly staff spot checks. Staff are not made aware of the date or time but our service users will be asked permission before a spot check is completed. The spot check is also used to form part of our staff members appraisal and 1-1. If we identify more training or supervision is required we ensure our staff receive the necessary support and training.
